I am saddened and frustrated to have to announce that the Justice Yeldham (aka Lucas Abela) performance has been postponed due to the extortionist and labyrinthine US VISA process.
We are working on a date later this summer and all ticket purchases will be refunded.
It’s my greatest pleasure to get to work with and present artists from around the world. Iowa City is an isolated town in an isolated state in an isolated region… so it’s a gift to have artists want to share their musical work here. But the US government continually and purposely attempts to block non commercial artists from around the world by steadily increasing fees (regardless of the dollar strength) and further isolating the US in the global arts community.
So please, when you see a band from another country has gone through the kafka nightmare and bullying fees to come to your town, make an extra effort to see and welcome them with your patronage, because they gambled so much to be here.
